About Me
Hello! My name is Grace Stetler, and I am a Senior at Elon University, located in Elon, North Carolina. I am originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where I attended Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Now in my final year at Elon, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with a double minor in Sport Management and Leadership Studies.
My Story
Growing up an hour north of Philadelphia, everyone assumes, "Fly Eagles Fly," was the fight song playing throughout the Stetler household on fall Sunday afternoons. Rather, from a young age, I was taught to cheer for the men in black and gold, and from that moment on, I grew up a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Being a Steelers fan in a "Philly neighborhood," taught me how to know my facts, and stand my ground. I was the girl who wore black and gold on a day dedicated to "wearing your Eagles green,"and I found my passion from a young age.
While attending an all-girls private Catholic high school, my love of sports grew and the beginning of my sports broadcasting career took off. I created and launched a sports show titled, "Sports Center with Stetler," in which I wrote, produced, and broadcasted a weekly half hour show where I updated my peers on on news from the sports world and our school athletics. My goal for this program was to bridge the gap between women and sports—through education and entertainment—while building an engaged community for our high school teams.
After graduating, I chose to attend Elon University, where I could immerse myself in a center of broadcast excellence and pursue my love of sports and journalism. I served as the producer and creator of "Inside the Nest," an ESPN-style show, in which my team and I covered stories around campus highlighting athletes and fanbases. I also serve as a color commentator for Elon Division I Athletics, including baseball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball, through Flo Sports. In addition, I was chosen to serve as a student color commentator for Elon football, through the Learfield Radio and the Varsity Network App.

These journeys on campus helped me take steps outside of Elon, and unlock doors for more opportunities. In March of 2025, I
was invited by Learfield professionals as the only student color analyst for the 2025 Ally Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball
Tournament, semi-final and championship games. I then traveled home to Philadelphia for my 2025 Summer Internship where I was selected after a highly selective interview process to be the Broadcast Intern for the Philadelphia Union. When looking outside of the world of sports media, sports management and event management also became an avenue I began to unlock. In May of 2025, I earned placement as one of 20 Corporate Hospitality Interns for the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, NC, where
Collaborated with PGA executives and corporate partners, including Rolex, Bank of America, and JP Morgan, to ensure client satisfaction and support throughout the week of play. After the conclusion of that week, I was handpicked as one of five interns nationally to support the 2025 Ryder Cup operations in the Metropolitan Lounge, the Ryder Cup’s highest-level hospitality suite for premier clients and customers.
I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from peers and industry experts at Elon. While striving toward a professional career, I am inspired to keep my passion close to my heart, and fulfill the dreams of the little girl who simply fell in love with the game of football.
